About the Encounter
Affective Encounters is an evolving space for Artist Educators. Founded in 2024 it began as a way to share resources and has since grown into a reflective platform exploring how artists, students, and educators connect through making.
At its core lies a belief that art is not just seen, but felt. That every encounter, whether through charcoal, print, or lens, holds the potential to shift our understanding of the world. Here you’ll find creative processes, teaching strategies, and artist features designed to provoke curiosity and sustain artistic risk-taking within contemporary classrooms.
Affective Encounters invites you to look closer, feel deeper, and engage with art as a living dialogue between maker, material, and meaning.
